Let's Talk about Intentions, Choices and Manifesting

One of my coaches said something interesting a while back:

If you set an intention to make US$10,000 a month and you say you want to do this with ease and from a relaxed state and tell the universe this; every time you consciously choose rest and relaxation, you are choosing US$10,000 a month.

At the time, I was like that makes sense, of course.

This kept coming up in my mind last night, because it implies that every time we set an intention and make a decision about our lives, and then act in alignment to that intention, we have chosen the intention.

I'm thinking about this because of what I decided I want the future version of me to fiercely embody.

I am also starting to look at what I’ve allowed and not allowed in my space and my life and how that aligns with my intentions.

What have I been saying I want and then unconsciously choosing instead?

Have my choices been in alignment with what I say I want in all the areas of my life?

Alignment of choices and intentions = manifestations

I first understood the power of aligning my choices with my intentions when I started traveling and moving countries with zero money and my credit card debt.

I would choose a date, set an intention around where I wanna go and what I want to experience and then make choices that were aligned with that intention.

I would hand in a notice to my job or clients in whatever country I was in, start packing up my apartment, say no to any social invites that were happening after my set travel date, tell everyone I was leaving, schedule a farewell party etc.

I still do this.

And every time, the universe works with me.

Every time I make a choice that aligns with the intentions, I am letting the universe know that I am choosing that intention, but I am also saying no to something else.

In this example - I am saying no to NOT traveling and staying put.

If this is all it takes, why don't we all do it?

The fear of choosing because of trauma etc.

A while back I realized I was scared to start acting in alignment with the identity I was choosing and start stating fully what I’d like to call into the various aspects of my life.

It's weird because I realized that I was scared that I would get what I am asking for.

Woah.

Yeah, I know - fear of expansion and something else under that - the fear of losing love.

But for most of us the opposite is also true - the fear that we make the choices and we don't get what we want!

There are as many reasons for the fear as there are humans, because trauma is layered, so it's not just these 2 reasons.

Anyway, back to my fear of losing love.

As hard (and a little embarrassing) as it is for me to write this and unpack it here, I am going to, because it is part of my healing.

When I sat with the fear of living into the new identity/higher self version of me, I realized that there was part of me that was scared of expansion because part of me was still holding onto some hope that somehow me and an ex would reconnect and somehow a miracle will happen.

The fear was that if I expanded I was going to call in a different love connection and it was gonna be different (of course). I had created a story of limitation that nothing will beat that energetic connection.

Anyway fast forward to now and I have called in a different love connection and it is very different (thank God) and I feel held and taken care of in a way I’ve never been before. So all my fears were actually unfounded, but at the time they were very real.

Even when I was actively refusing expansion, I knew that when I started living more fully into this new identity, I was  going to change and that even if a miracle happened with my ex, I would be different and the connection would never be the same.

I knew that by saying yes to the identity I want to fully embody, I had to let go of things and relationships that were not in alignment with that new identity.

At some point I realized that my fear of expansion was rooted in the belief: If I make more money and start to live fully in my power, I will lose my friends and family etc.

As if there are no incredible people to befriend/date at the new level or no family members in the future who will get to our new level.

Sometimes we sabotage the intention purely with our choices even when the universe has given us a yes

I’ve seen people who dream of traveling, set the intention to go traveling for a year, but just as they are ready to go and have everything, they get offered a high paying job they always wanted but that will require them to stay, and they take the job and keep delaying the dream of travel.

Or they keep building businesses that require them to be in a certain country full time, even as they talk of traveling freely.

Inadvertently, they said yes to the opposite and believed they had no choice - the high paying job/business seemed like a once in a lifetime opportunity.

[The belief in once in a lifetime opportunities is problematic because it’s also scarcity based  - opportunities can be created or manifested and the universe is limitless. Imagine limiting an opportunity to once in a lifetime?]

Then I’ve seen the opposite - those who set the intention to travel, get offered the job with the high pay, and even though they don't have much money, they choose the intention to travel anyway and they go without the certainty and the money and they grow from it. And living into that intention opens up a whole new world.

Neither choice is wrong, we just have to be aware that there’s an alignment between choice and intention.

And here’s the secret: anyone of us can set a new intention today and make different choices to live into the intention.

We’re not stuck in the lives we have - the intentions can be as wild and big or as small and gentle as we want.

So in the examples above, the traveler can intend a job tomorrow and choose it and the employee can intend and choose to travel tonight and hop on a train or plane and go somewhere.

If you're intending increased income, ease and financial freedom, are you aligning your actions with money to your intentions?

This is part of the work that I teach in the #MoneyMagic course, where I also help people regulate their nervous systems so they can tap into their ancestral wisdom around money and start creating a consistent stream of income of R40,000/US$2,500 or more per month.

If you’re ready to give yourself permission to play big and own your greatness, then I invite you to sign up for the #MoneyMagic course at this link: wealthy-money.com/moneymagic
