Deepak Chopra says if you observe nature you’ll see that everything is effortless and it’s the same with life.

He talks about the law of least effort where he explains that the law of nature functions with effortless ease and carefreeness.

Plants don’t worry about sunlight and water and don’t go looking for it and yet they continue to survive. They don’t spend hours explaining how people hurt them and feeling pity for themselves.

In 1519 at the height of Spain’s colonial era, Hernando Cortes arrived at the Southern tip of Mexico with 508 soldiers, 100 sailors and 16 horses to conquer a nation of 6 million Aztec people.

When all his men were ashore, he ordered them to burn all the boats and told them that the only way back was to win or die. There’d be no retreat. In the end, Cortes’ men fought and won, if only out of sheer desperation for their lives.

The moral of the story aside; this is a powerful story of committing to a vision.

I refuse to encourage any of my children to go to varsity. I’m pretty sure I want to home school so at least I have that argument sorted. Most people think I’m crazy.

I’m black, female and the second generation to get a college education and a master’s degree, so I’m supposed to say how awesome it is that I now have equal rights and I want my children to take advantage of all this amazing education so they can live in different continents like I do.

I've studied in South Africa and the USA and as far as I can see varsity is a royal waste of time and money.
