Learning how to relax can reduce stress symptoms significantly and can help you calm your mind so you can keep focused on your vision.
I've compiled a list of 10 relaxation techniques to help you:
1. Meditate
Meditation is the one thing I do every day to remain optimistic about my finances and keep going with Wealthy Money.
Research has shown that meditation can help with physical and emotional illnesses such as: cancer, heart disease, high blood pressure, binge eating etc.
Abraham Hicks says that it is easier for us to have no thought than to have a positive thought, because we have an opinion or trigger about everything.
Meditation helps us release resistance and this is what helps us raise our vibration because when we think about nothing we also stop thinking our negative thoughts.
2. Schedule time to play
All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. What can be a better relaxation technique than having fun?
Research shows that play is an important part of childhood development and if we continue to play in our adulthood we can become smarter.
Stuart Brown, as he explains in his video below, found that most serial killers were deprived of play in their childhood and that we possess an innate need to play throughout our lives.
3. Seek out positive people
A Dutch study on elderly men and women found that positive people live longer and are less stressed.
Napolean Hill in “Think and grow rich” explains that energy spreads from one person to another, and that if you want to be rich you should associate with rich people. Negative people bring you down and lower your vibration.
Birds of a feather flock together; surrounding yourself with optimists can teach you how to be an optimist.
4. Disconnect for a while
We spend a lot of time looking after others and not listening to our own needs and honouring our own desires.
Taking time out to be alone and bond with you is healthy. Disconnect can be something as simple as taking a walk or going to a movie alone.
5. Exercise
Exercising is a great way to circulate energy in your body and to release resistance by releasing stuck energy in your body.
Yoga and jogging reduce stress and release endorphins which make you happy.
6. Day dream yourself to calmness
Einstein once said, “Imagination is everything. It’s the preview of life's coming attractions.”
You may be stuck at your desk at work but there is no one stopping you from closing your eyes and emptying your mind for 10 minutes and seeing yourself relaxed on a beach somewhere.
Daydreaming is important because it gets you to use your imagination and tap into your creativity and it works in the same way as visualization does.
7. Write a love letter to yourself
I know this sounds crazy but how often do you tell yourself that you love yourself?
Knowing how to love yourself is the fastest way to breaking through a lot of relationship issues as well as issues about setting boundaries.
8. Declutter: emotionally, physically and mentally
Let go of emotional baggage and learn how to forgive.
One of the first steps we can take when letting go of baggage is by forgiving ourselves and others.
9. Be one with nature, sunlight, source energy and/or God
Whilst prayer may not always be considered a relaxation technique, prayer or your equivalent of prayer can be a powerful way to reduce stress and calm yourself down.
When we pray we usually ask for something and in our asking we activate the powers of the universe to help us overcome challenges, which can decrease stress.
10. Get energy work done
We carry stress in our bodies. The Institute of Research at the University of Miami reports that massage reduces stress hormones and decreases symptoms of depression at all stages of life.
Getting a massage, reflexology or reiki is relaxation and can also unblock chakras and get energy flowing in your body which will raise vibration and make you more positive.
